I don't get people on IMVU...

I used IMVU as a means to keep in touch with people, and to do roleplay. Well, recently I got into a relationship on here, and it turned into a RL relationship. But... I keep getting people who invite me to Private chats, and ask if I am single, or want to do a rape fantasy. lol. Here is a chat log of what I just got today. Some one on here might find it funny. Its odd though... I've been getting these random invites after I have found some one lol.

BTW, I am Jaden, the girl that is asking me this stuff is Mishdon.

Honestly, I'll never really understand online text "chat" when so much of it is covered in bots luring you to porn sites and people that can't hold a converstation. I'm of the opinion that if you can't Skype or use some other form of voice chat, you're not worth my time on the computer chatting. And chat places like this one are just full of people out to waste your time or sell you something.

At any rate, it sounds to me like you were talking to someone too busy talking to someone else. "She" was probably running the same bits of conversation by that person as they were you and just got them mixed up early in your chat.

I used to get lured into such converstaions, but its just someone following a script and when you start to fall out of their pre-planned dialog they don't know what to do besides stick with that script, which makes them sound nutty. Regardless, the conversation leads to some porn site with live cam girls. If they feel you're a customer, they'll stick with you, if not, they'll move on.

So there is a real person on the other end, they're just as fake online as they are in real life.

Plus any conversation that starts out with or near a question about my relationship status always leads to a bad sales pitch.

There's actually this booth at the mall that sells some kind of beauty creme and they'll try to stop you and will pull the relationship line on men and women. Saleswomen approach men, the salesmen approach women. Its the lamest thing I've ever seen. I think its because the people that work there are from Brazil and think they can pull the charm on you to sell their crap. I once saw a guy just go right to "I'm gay" when they pulled the relationship question to guilt/shame him into a purchase. It stunned them and they couldn't follow through on the pitch. I'm sure they've adapted since then, though.

Ya, that's why I said I don't go to links that are posted on IMVU. I only go to it if it's from a trusted friend.

Do a Google Image search and you'll understand why I hate IMVU even though I've never used it. Their fucking ads show up everywhere.

I have to side with BBQ - not much good can come from public chat rooms (or IM'ing totally random people.)

Eh, I don't have an issue with IMVU adds. I never go onto the site anyways, unless its to buy music. I buy creds using IMVUCE which is totally legit lol.
