I linked to the game systems but my buddy linked me to the tanks. I'd love to get a new paint job on my Harley one day and if I were rich, I'd go with this guy! That salamander tank was mindblowing! I thought it was real or a photo of one!

Almost makes you want to not have a setup that nicely hides the consoles in a space efficient way.

I know it's not the same as an airbrush masterpiece but those of you who want something like it but can't afford his (does he even commission?) obviously quite expensive fees should check those sites out.

Ya thats just not the same. I'm more interested in the motorcycle tanks but posted the pics of the game consoles since very few would have been interested in that. And there is no skinning a tank and having it last. lol

Here is my custom paint job horror story. So I used to do roofing on the side with a friend. We knew this guy from where I used to work that did a lot of custom work on bikes at shows in the area and even for the largest Harley dealer in the area. He worked out of his house and his outbuilding needed a new roof. I had just gotten my 2nd Harley and wanted a custom job so he bartered a roof for my paint job. My friend graciously helped me for no payment.

It was a really shitty job too. The roof was so rotted in places that we had to put new sheeting down. My buddy even fell through the damn roof and was very lucky that he wasn't hurt more seriously than he was. So we get done, I strip the bike and take the parts to him. When I go to pick it up (3 1/2 months later >< and it wasn't a complicated paint job either he said the roof was only worth a "simple" paint job) he tells me he didn't have time to fully bake it AND that the tank is not my original. He said he had a primed tank and just swapped them out. I wasn't thrilled but I had to accept it. So the parts had to be carefully transported since they were basically still "wet". Then they had to be carefully stored until they would harden....and as you can imagine the worst happened. The rear fender had a pipe wrench fall on it and gouge it. Honestly it was heartbreaking.

But to top it all off, the tank was the biggest issue. After everything hardened, I put the bike together and got a king/queen seat to help hide the gouge. (I had a solo seat and liked it that way.) Then I went on a in state trip and started having issues with the engine getting enough gas. I thought carburetor and replaced it. Still had the issue so I took the tank off and then saw the problem. The lining of the tank was flaking off and clogging up the valve. So ya, me being a nice "guy" and doing his roof for that shit really pissed me off. I approached him about it and he blamed me for the tank. I understand he wasn't directly responsible for the fender getting gouged but if it had been baked properly it would have been hardened and on the damn bike.

And then there is the replaced transmission case screw job I got at the biggest Harley dealer in the area.....ya that bike is cursed I tell you! But I love her so! She will be whole one day! SHE WILL BE WHOLE!

REPLACED!!?? HELL NO!!! That girl and I went all over the US together and I would not just kick her to the curb like yesterdays leftovers! She will be lovingly restored to the best of my ability and rode until I can't hold her up anymore......thats what I meant and I will stick by that!
