I don't mind the idea of legalizing pot these days, but I'm still bothered by pot zombies. They let it run their lives and feel the need to inject it into every aspect of every activity they do. Their account names usually contain the numbers 420, any images they may associate with always have a pot leaf, they have fake laughs and think everything is funny, etc. I hate that they also pretend it's some sort of secret club or dying breed, where meeting somebody else who is also a pot zombie is cause for immense surprise and celibration.

I don't think all drugs are necessarily bad or evil. I think Marijuana and Psylocibin (sp?) mushrooms (aka, Natural drugs) should be legal. I think that manufactured drugs like Extacy, LSD, Crack, and Meth shouldn't be.

It's also a rather dangerous process isn't it? I've seen the crap you need to make Crystal Meth as an example and it's scary...

But yeah, the drug shit needs to stop. Getting the troops on the border won't stop the illegals (that's why Obama needs to target business that hire them hard, starting with mandatory jail time without bail) but it's the only way you're going to keep the god damned Drug cartels out.

It's late atm and I'm hella tired, so I'll just leave an amusing (and true) story. Rand Paul wants to solve the issue with Helicopters (might not be a bad idea, along with armed surveilance cameras) and an underground electric fence. When it coats every edge of someone's personal life, it begins to touch the lives of others.

You know, like smoking or drinking. Those are legal, but it doesn't change the fact that we've been culturally stomping out smoking in every public venue. And really, secondhand smoke from MJ isn't exactly any nicer.

I'm just curious why we don't go after drinking as viciously as we do smoking. I'm never lit up i my life and even I want the anti-smoking crowd to shut the fuck up. Its getting to where people can't smoke in their own cars on break at work anymore.

I just said that they've pretty much taken every public place away from smokers and still find other places to take from them. I've not commonly come into contact with second hand smoke for five years now. I don't know what America you come from, but in my neck of the woods - and the capital of cancer sticks at that - you can't find a place to do it without getting bitched out.

And any roommate I take that wants to will be directed outside - where someone else will bitch at them for doing it.

You do realize that some places still allow smoking in public places. We just got ours this July. Also the bans vary greatly, one state has a ban on public places where people under 18 could be. If its a bar where only older people are, smoke away. Some ban it in restaurants and bars but you can smoke anywhere else. Thats just a joke, imo. So I hope they keep up their pissing and moaning until they get all the states involved and smoking fully banned from ALL public places. If you want to kill yourself fine, just don't involve me in it....I have enough f**king problems!

And it shouldn't be this way. No group of people should prohibit other people from being able to do things that they enjoy. I should not have to fear for my life going out to a concert, restaurant, bar, etc just because other people want to fill their lungs with smoke. I, for one, hope that the lobbyists keep fighting to educate more people to the harms of second hand smoke and getting it banned in all states.

Hell, where I live you can't smoke in any public building, but right across the river (Ah, Kentucky), you can. So everyone just goes over there.

I smoke. I'm not happy about it. I'm slowly weaning myself off of them, because cold turkey hasn't worked for me. But I try my best to be conscientious about it. I actively go out of my way to move away from people if I'm smoking. But being in a bar that allows smoking (alcohol is a definite trigger for me) makes that very, very difficult for me.

All that said, I'm all for bans on smoking in public places. Banning cigarettes altogether? Not going to happen. It isn't a realistic goal. Taxing the fuck out of them? Sure. Banning where you can smoke? Ok. But it is a chemical addiction for smokers. Removing them from the open market isn't going to make people stop smoking.

EDIT: Also, how the hell did a thread about anti-Islam sentiment become about smoking?

BBQ, if I decide to start jerking off in my car, that's still the same private place, right? Chances are nobody would see or notice, especially if it's dark out. Cop happens to walk by your car and see you though, that's a jailin'. What about my balcony? My neighbors wouldn't like that, not one bit. And that's not even injuring them, like cigarette smoke would!
