This black cat had some real bad luck, its lost two of its legs in a combine harvester. Its owners sought out a rather expensive solution and found vets able to apply two prosthetic peg legs to it back, even customized to where two "Paws" can be attached to their bottoms, allowing Oscar to move like cats normally would.

When I first saw the tittle, I though "Cool! Another robot has been created, this time a cat, and acts like a real cat too!"

Not this lol. But still, kinda bad to hear about the cat loosing its legs, and surprised some one would actually do this. Normally, people would have just put it down. It kinda looks a bit happy to.

Its actually some of the same stuff we're seeing, its more impressive that the cat wasn't just put down and the owners went this far to keep it around. Losing one leg and sometimes even two legs is actually survivable for some pets, but losing two rear legs is rather serious for a cat.

The virtues of advancements of prosthetics are not lost on me, I'm a beneficiary of a very subtle prosthetic shunt. I'm glad to see things progress by leaps and bounds in the field for other people. I just hope I don't need a replacement one day because that will be a pain.

Actually this is a groundbreaking advancement. My husband wears a prothesis so he keeps on top of developments and told me about this. The cat has 2 special metal rods surgically implanted in the bones of his legs. Usually, your body rejects the metal and you develop an infection. With these legs the cat did not reject them, instead the skin is adhering to the metal! This could lead to a huge advancement in the prosthetics field. When my husband told me this, it was done on a woman in Britain but I don't know what the outcome was.
