f***ing protesters

sorry for the F but I'm Ff**** pissed. The red-shirt protesters are literally burning down the whole Bangkok downtown. I just drove home from work and on the high-way, less than 20 meters from my car was a huge building on fire. Smokes are everywhere 360 degree. Our best shopping departmentstore in the country, a theatre that's been around for 30 years, my high school, burnt.

And guess what, the protesters burning down Bangkok, the majority of them aren't even Bangkok citizen. They burn down our home, not even theirs.

If things keep going on my home will be burnt soon.

Wish me luck. I wish our government would just hand out guns so I can help kill the protesters.

The 3 channel TV station - the red-shirts didn't even give them a warning. They burn the building from the groud up while their employee are still working on the upper floor unaware of what's happening. They got trapped with no way out, and neither police nor soldier did any shit because the government doesn't let them.

And guess what, it's so obvious when they're marching to the station. They were carring oils and stuff.... Should have shot them right there to stop all this mess.

And now the soldiers are on TV saying the same thing "we don't want to hurt citizen" F***

I've read the news but still am quite unaware about what's really going on over there.
(Media only tells you so much.)
To say it bluntly, the media here tells us that the red shirts are trying to start a civil war, I personally hope that this is not the case!

All I can say now is that I hope all this nonsense is going to end soon and peace will return to Thailand.

Hate being powerless with shit like this.

I'm sure plenty of us would be willing to give you a place to stay if you felt like getting out of the country, but it looks like Thailand doesn't have any sort of visa-exemption with the major anglosphere (UK, US, AU, Canadia) countries I checked, where most of us live, which would mean having to apply at the embassy. I know if shit like this started happening in my town, I'd get the hell out of the way, but then I have much more room to breathe. Can go anywhere in the US and stay there as long as I like, plus there's plenty of countries I can enter at any time I have the money for a plane ticket.

Just what I understand..... At first the red shirt were supporters of Taksin Shinawat. One of our previous prime ministers who had done so much for the country. He shut down tons of local mafia and helped local people to be able to make a living without paying large sums of tribute to those mafia. Which gained him tons of support because in my country 80% are labour class citizen......

Taksin made a lot of enemies shutting down those local-powerhouse. They start throwing (fake?) news about him. So right when he got elected for the second contructive times, started the Yellow-shirt protestants. They claimed Taksin was trying to popularize himself to be above the King, even thrown stories about Taksin actually harming the king which were bullshit. (We just love our king and people got really touchy when stories like that float around) Taksin resigned from position to resolve the conflict and held another election. Which Taksin won again. That's when the Yellow-shirt just got so pissed off and seized control over the national airport forcing their own people onto the prime minister position, our current one, Aphisit.

But if didn't end there. The new government still try to add more and more charges to Taksin. The most recent one, he was seized from his personal belongings/assets/ which is about 4,600,000,000 baht worth. That's when the red shirt came from all over the country to show their support against this desicion, this current protests.

But I really believe the red shirts always wanted to just destroy the city and using Taksin as an excuse. Taksin is, sadly, our best and most intelligent PM we ever had. Not to mentioned all our previous PM don't even have collage degree..... Taksin is smart and I believe his words when he said all these red-shirt crap isn't his doing. He has my respect.

uh well. The news been twisted to hell so what I know may not be the truth.
