I think I might finally have to retire my current pair of boots as well. There's a hole in the right boot and while I used to be able to patch up holes, I'm not sure if this one is fixable since it just seems to open back up after a few days.

It makes me a bit sad thinking about is really since I've had them for about 8 years and they're survived paintballing, hiking, nature walks, quad biking, the Irish Sea (which turned them a dark green), trap shooting, archery, lots of mud, dig sites during Archaeology field trips, blizzards, ziplining, beloved family pets, heavy metal concerts, climbing trees that are really too high to climb without a harness, and overly playful kitties.

They've served me well. I'm going to give them a Viking Funeral *nods*.

Ecco's are the way to go.

Ecco's are definitely good shoes. I checked them out at the mall today. Really soft and cushioned. They felt really comfy aside from the fact that they would likely eat my heel if I actually put any miles on them. It's going to become one of those brands I end up recommending to other people even if it didn't work out for me.

After trying a different VGA cable, a different monitor, trying to compensate using the settings on each monitor, dusting the inside of the case for juju, and searching around for alternate video cards, I eventually solved my parents' video problem by using duct tape to stick the monitor cable to the side of their case. Turns out the socket is physically loose.

After 5 years of being on the same shift at work, I finally got my hands on a morning shift that will give me some modicum of a normal life.

Starting on Monday the 6th, I'll be working Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 4:00am-2:00pm.

This is as opposed to Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 2:00pm - 1:00am.

Sure I lose weekends, but I gain FREEDOM. I can finally leave work while the sun is still up, run errands and go out to dinner after work. I really can't complain.

At least until Ironworking starts up, this is definately a step in the right direction.

I'm going into Elementary Education. I really want to teach art or dance, but good luck getting a job in either of those, since they're always cutting art programs from schools.

Correct me if I'm wrong here... but your experience with dance was... how should I put this...? More on the exotic side? Are you sure parents will be ok with their kids workin' the pole?

I have never been an exotic dancer Yyg, I took ballet, tap, and jazz all for over twenty years.

And cid, it would be nearly impossible to make less than what I make now.

I distinctly remember "Belly Dancer" being listed in your extra-curricular activities at one point... but w/e. Teach them to work the pole anyway.
