Next time I run across those books I'll be sure to snap some pics.

While I'd love to get back into D&D (I've even got a fairly fleshed-out character that I created for an online campaign that fizzled before it started), 3-4PM EST on Saturday(s) is not very conducive to being a good father/husband. I'll keep tabs on your D&D thread, though!

Oh joy, the constant usage of Ibuprofen has finally hit a breaking point and now I'm on anti-acids and a bland diet to help my stomach heal. Now I just have to hope that I don't have an ulcer yet...

My frequency of logging into this forum has vastly increased, I mean this must be at least the third time this year and it's only July....



Anyway, 8 weeks ago, something that resembled an angry looking old Korean man was cut out of me by emergency c-section. He weighed 7lbs 3oz and is the best thing in the world ever... well at least he is to my husband and I, I'm not going to go all J9 on you lot.

Congrats Uma. Enjoy what little sleep you are going to get....

After a week of set backs (water cooler failure due to someone turning off the breaker, previous user mucking up the source, having to evacuate the instrument for >24 hrs) I have finally started collecting my first set of data. The first step toward my PhD has been taken.

EDIT: Shouldn't have posted that. 5 bad runs in a row....

Thanks everyone.

He's 9 weeks old now and is starting to get settled into a little routine. The first week was hell, both he and I ended up back in hospital the day after they discharged me. Crappy NHS policy c-sections now only get 48 hours on the ward then they'll kick you out, regardless of the baby struggling to feed, c-section wound being infected or w/e. They're much happier to discharge you and you end up in A&E, because you're no longer their problem.

Anyway, all is well now, been given the all clear by the doctors so I can drive again (Yay!)... happy happy.
