I too have started back to the gym. I too hope to lose a few pounds. I had to buy some new pants recently and had to go up an inch on the wasteline. /sigh
I'm beginning to understand why Wendy gets so pumped about losing pant sizes. I fit (using that term loosely) into the pants I wore in high school. Last time I tried, I couldn't get the button anywhere near the button hole.
Finally kicked the disgusting habit of drinking soda. I went out and bought that carbon thing that shoots the fizzy bubbles into your drink for you. Saved myself..let me see...around here it's usually 12.50 for a 24 Pack I believe...so...roughly I'd say 40-50 bucks a month on soda, which I no longer drink. I stick to tea, all the extra acids and sugars in soda eats up the enamel on teeth, which is bad for you. Plus I got into the habit of drink English Breakfast tea with a teaspoon of honey every morning. Helps clear the head and is more vitalizing than drinking coffee, which can cause ulcers in the stomach to people who aren't allowed to have it. Plus coffee leaves me exhausted anyways. I don't like that feeling, where you're all hyped up then you feel like someone has tied cement bags on your chest, arms and legs. Just not a good feeling at all man. As far as my food habits, I'm slowly going soy, my friend told me to try it and I've been tearing away at the Soy Joy bars which are DELICIOUS for some odd reason.

Alright. I think there is something going screwy with my head. I got offered a hamburger last night by a friend, looked at it and went "Ew.". Now there is nothing wrong with the burger mind you since the man who offered it to me is a cook at Tuscany's, which that place is run by none other than Todd English (Google him) so the man knows how to cook. But my mind did a 360 when I saw red meat. I think all this soy I am ingesting is messing with my food intake. I don't like thiiis. Not the accomplishment I was looking for when I did this soy diet.
