Articles like this make for "good news"...according to them. While it has basis in truth, it is sensationalized by news outlets and then people dwell on it. Basically, if a NORMAL HEALTHY person oversleeps on a regular basis, this leads to lethargy which means less movement/exercise. We know someone that is a couch potato is more prone to obesity, arthritis, etc. and those things can lead to a shorter lifespan. They leave necessary information out of their reports, if they didn't then it wouldn't be so sensational would it.
