    In honor of...

    Lenord Nimoy retiring at the ripe old age of 79 (same as my mother), I present to you....

    Nimoy Sunset Pie

    I think it's hilarious! One of my favorites is...

    (I'm on the dang iPad and can't post the picture that goes with it but it's Spock by a viewscreen that shows them orbiting a planet and a piece of pumpkin pie hovering above the planet.)

                    Yep, you got that right. The "story" is she was raped but there were other stories. The one I believe is that my mother was "wild". She certainly was when I was young. My parents divorced in the early 60's and back then the husband didn't get custody except in extreme cases, well my father was rewarded custody. So I believe that she had a BF and got pregnant. I know she was sent away to a wayward girl school and was only allowed to come home if she gave up the baby to her mother. My grandmother raised my sister like her own child so I didn't find out that my aunt was really my sister until I was 16. Of course, it was a big hush hush deal but I wouldn't follow those rules. I refused to call her my aunt anymore and would openly talk about the issue at family affairs. In the end, it lead to my mother openly accepting my sister as her daughter.

                      Wow, now that's just nuts. But I guess in the end things worked out and you're all one big happy family. (I'm smirking as I type that sentence.)

                      I can't imagine having a kid that young, though. Hell, even six (almost) years ago when I had my first son I wasn't quite sure I was ready.
