So... let me start by saying that I have now been clean of FFXI for 5 months... and going strong. *insert aplause here*
In and of itself, that's a great accomplishment for me. The only problem is that now I'm beginning to get bored. Because of this, I have started browsing Youtube for an assortment of entertaining things. I discovered a few that really captured my interest, but they only post one video a week. After backdating and watching EVERYTING they've EVER done, I'm bored again.
So, I decided to build my own Youtube account and begin recording my own Vlog.
I know I know... "ZOMG A CHANCE TO SEE WHAT YYGDRASIL REALLY LOOKS LIKE!!!!"
Don't get excited. I'm normal. 100% normal.
The only thing holding me back from starting this vlog is a lack of a concrete topic to discuss. I don't want to become another "rant forum", although I do have quite a few stories about so-called human beings... supposed "higher lifeforms" that have worn thin on my patience. I've vented about some of these things in the PET PEEVES IN RL thread, but there are so many more.
I don't want it to be entirely about me, though. I would love to get in some of the stories I've read here. If you have any gripes... peeves... annoying things that you want me to cast my opinion on, please let me know and I'll try and work them into my vlog. I'm going to try to use virtually everything that you guys suggest (within reason) and give you all due credit for it.
If you have nothing to gripe on, feel free to mention things that you find funny, amusing or that just plain make you happy. For example... I can't control the urge to step on a leaf on then sidewalk that looks particularly crunchy. The ones that shatter into dust are the best. That makes me happy.
If I were to undertake this new hobby, I'm going to go at it full force. So spare no small detail and pitch me as many ideas as you can think up.
I'm going to try to keep the vlog PG-13... so limit the X-rated rants to a dull roar if you could.
So far I have nothing on the channel, so I'm not going to post the link just yet. Once I get my first episode posted, I'll throw the link in here for you all to follow. If I don't use your suggestion, keep posting it. I'll be trying to incorperate everything that I can. The funnier and the more relatable, the better. It might be MY VLOG... but it will be EVERYONE's voice. Consider it... a joint effort.
Leave a response and let the ideas fly. Once I get home from work, if I have enough ideas, I'll start working on the episode right away. Hopefully I'll be done with it by thursday or friday... with weekly updates to follow.
