First off, I am not making this thread to "start" anything, I know that in me getting mad in the other thread, I might have said a few things, like some others have. I am not going to apologize for what I did, because I still think what I did was right. Now I know some of you disagree with me, and that's fine, but what happened in that thread should..... well should not have happened. I know it was probably not the best idea to post that I was reporting it, but I am very upfront about things.

I will still report stuff, but I wont post that I am doing it, because all that does is piss some of you off. I have been on these forums for years, and just found it a little silly that the thread blew up the way it did, with all the attacks. I will admit, I do like the friendly banter with some of you, its entertaining, but what happened in that thread was a bit much, on both ends, and that I apologize for.

I suck at getting my point across, not really good with words -.- but I felt I needed to at least try.

Basically this is how you should have tackled the last incident...

1. Report them to SE quietly

You should know that once you start bringing that kind of controversal stuff to forums that there's going to be a lot of drama. The best way is to avoid it if you can, which you could easily have done. It just makes you look like you're after just as much attention as the person leaking the information. You have to be ready for many different opinions (some constructive and some incredibly destructive) when you bring it out to a public forum.

Shouldn't have reported at all. That's how most people see it.

no harm was being done. Some trolls on the Jtv chat log were being trolls and Kailea used that as a precedant to justify his publicly reporting them

Actually, it was his duty to report it and Pooky was aware it wasn't a matter of if but when he would be busted. It's the "I'm better than you!" attitude that pissed off most of us. Anyone who thinks that Kailea is the sole reason Pooky got banned is deluding themselves.

You're not going to be able to save face though, you've already made a public ass of yourself in the other thread along with a lot of the other alpha testers on the alpha forums. All you had to do, and should have done, was report it like a good little tester (or not, you're not legally obligated to even if SE wants you to) and kept your damn trap shut about it and you would have spared yourself the PR nightmare. Can we just move on now?

See, i know that it is a reportable offence, but i don't believe it should have been reported.

SE had to make an example so it wasn't widespread so i understand the banning.

But Pooky was streaming to fans of the game for fans of the game, and no harm was being done. It's a bad precedant for SE but since it was for fans, who were only being teased there was no harm being done. SE should have warned Pooky so it didn't become widespread and more people are saturated with streams and form unintelligent opinions.

As long as it's for hardcore and understanding fans (which based on Pookys past streams, it definately was) I personally don't have a problem with it.


Anyway, i've gone off on a tangent already. Mods should probably douse this fire before it starts and lock the thread.
