    I'm Canadian, so I had Thanksgiving a month ago!

    I was tempted to cross the border to some malls and whatnot tomorrow though, but quickly forgot about the idea after realizing it probably wouldn't be worth the trouble.

      Probably for the best seeing as how folks were already starting to camp out early this afternoon for some stores.

          So my mom and I have been tentatively trying to repair the damage done a few years ago, and e-mailing back and forth, so I figured I'd call her and wish her a happy Thanksgiving.

          Small gesture, but things are better than they were. Still feels weird to talk to her though.

              Well Thanksgiving came and went as my theory has proven - so long as I'm no on their grounds, my family can never give me shit about anything. I think its because they really don't want to look like rotten people around other family or friends. Or in church.

              I will meet them on those grounds because I know there is protection.

              But the second I'm at my parents home, nothing but browbeaten. They even "volunteered" me to cut the bushes this weekend. For volunteering to take place there must be consent and I have a pretty sharp memory about consent. Most people do. But I "agreed" somehow without saying it. Magical contract I signed, apparently. Wicked stepmother just called to "remind" me I "agreed."

              I can't wait to have kids so I can tell mine what Bill Cosby told his: "Those are not the people I grew up with. They are old people that are trying to get into Heaven now."
