  • Have you ever passed a tapeworm?

I was watching Monster Inside me on discovery and that shits got me all paranoid. I looked up symptoms of parasites and a few are low energy, the runs, bad gas, and cold like symptoms. And since I watched the show I've had bad gas and the runs! I am so paranoid right now.. I asked a friend about some stuff her and her husband used to flush parasites out and she told me last year he shit out something that looked like a water moccasin! A WATER MOCASSIN LOOKING PARASITE! OUT OF HIS ASS!!

Needless to say it was a beef worm. Just imagine. There could be little worm snake things in you right now and you would have no idea. Maybe that's why you're tired! Or gaining weight! Yeah some make you GAIN weight unlike the tapeworms which make you lose weight. It's a freaky thought...

Tapeworms aren't that common so don't get to worried about it. The ones that scare me are pork tapeworms, beef are larger but less dangerous. Pork tapeworms can burrow into your brain, heart, spinal cord, etc. and can cause severe damage. I will not go near any undercooked pork...I won't even touch it! If I make pork roast, I wear surgical gloves when I prep it. And vegetarians aren't immune either, they can ingest tapeworm eggs that get on vegetables or in water.

I had to google what a water mocassin was.
You do have "parasites" inside you in your bowel, stomach, kidneys even the brain. Many are harmless and undetectable in terms of size most are microscopic, only some have side effects of sorts. Many of them are beneficial a bit like those drinks with "friendly bacteria" in them.
I wouldnt worry too much if you're that worried consult your doctor.
I wouldnt worry about what your friend said I'd definately say it's an exageartion after googling a water mocassin I was expecting a shoe of some sort. As a nurse I have never seen anything resembling alien and when I worked in the endoscopy department I explored many {Rear entrance} "that just sounds wrong" and never saw anything attack the camera on the scope, But you never know it could've been hiding.

Holy hell, I think I've either had a tapeworm for 20 years, or I am a fucking tapeworm. Those don't sound like "symptoms": they sound like my morning routine.

Pork worms would be easy to get rid of in our diets. If the food companies simply put the pigs on concrete floors instead of mud, dirt and the like it would go away. In Germany rare pork is a delicacy and to eradicate the parasites all they had to do was raise the pigs on concrete slabs.

Do they at least get rugs to lay on? I'm in this strange dichotomy where I love meat and I'm fine with an animal being raised just to get slaughtered, but I get irate if they don't get a decent life 'til slaughter-time.
