  • 100 Best Places to Work in IT 2009

My company was rated 56th this year. Hopefully next year we'll do even better.

Were you intending to post a link to said list or just telling people how cool your company is?

I wasn't saying that it was... I just wanted a link to the list, and when I got here I felt kind of teased when I found no link.

I totally intended to put a link in, but I must have forgotten. Thank you TGM.

Also, I have to be honest, I'm not that impressed that we ranked in the Top 100. I will be the first to tell you guys if we do even worse next year. I think my company is on a PR kick this year and is trying to get our name into every list they can find.

Having said that, I love my job and the people I work with at my location. I can't speak for any of the other 100+ locations in the US or other countries.

              LOL np ^^

So you you like the work you do at your company? It's great to work at a successful stable company but if you don't enjoy your work it can be a pain in the behind. LOL My son is making good coin now working in his field and he absolutely LOVES his job. Now if they could give him more hours and some benefits, I could rest easier!

EDIT: Disregard since you added to your post before I put this up. LOL Glad you're enjoying your job, thats half the battle!

Yeah, I have a bad problem of editing and rediting my posts.

Yup, I've been here for 5 1/2 years and most of them have been great. Basicly for me the breakdown is like this.

                40% The work I do
                40% The boss I have
                20% Other coworkers

If everything adds up to about 75%+ I feel is a good place to stay, and I'm at about a 85-90%.

For about 2 years the boss that hired me left for a smaller hospital, but she came back. So i had a small period of time where I was thinking of leaving.

I already did that last night after I opened the thread due to insatiable curiosity. My assumption was that the lack of link was an oversight, thus pointing it out might have been useful and/or desirable to the OP. Nothing to get worked up about. Also, there's no way of knowing if it was a particular publishers list or not as when I googled said information, I found multiple sources.
