    I need a DVD Rack

    My ultimate DVD Collection is getting bigger by the week and I am starting to run out of room. I have 2 DVD racks that I bought from Office Depot within the past 2 years that worked pretty well but I am starting to run out of space. I have almost 300 DVD/Blu-ray/HD-DVDs/Video Games cases in my collection and I need a nice rack that will be able to hold them all with some extra space for the future. There was a Rotating Rack made by Spartek that holds about 756 DVDs but the reviews of the dealers are not up to date and none of them really seem very reputible. A rotating rack would be best for the amount of space I have to work with in the basement, and I'd be able to continue keeping my DVDs in alphabetical order .

    Long story short, anybody know where I could get a DVD Rack that holds about 600+ DVDs.

    I have both of these. Neither holds that amount though. LOL I have put my DVD's in CD cases for easier storage. This rack holds 300 CD's

    Media Cabinet from Ginny's®

    and this one 500 CD's.

    Media Tower from Ginny's®

    I used to have them in my game room but then my grandsons moved in and the game room went bye bye. So I had to come up with another idea and this is what I did:

    Aluminium DJ Cases : DVD Shop Online Ltd Aluminium DJ Cases

    I got a few of those and then put the majority of them in storage. I just may leave them in those cases though. I have a spot behind my entertainment center that I could put them and still have access to them after the kids move out. Looks like the game room is going to be an exercise room now. ><

      You could always build your own rack.. My friend has about 450? maybe 475.. DVDs and blurays combined and he made his own. It's real nice too, but if you dont have the craftsmanship dont try it lol.

      My mom was looking for one of those too though.. shes tippin 500+ DVDs.

        Crap I forgot I made this thread *Walks away*. Just took some pics.

        Don't pay any attention to the mess, it'll be cleaned up by next week since my niece is coming to town to visit.







        Two more sides left to fill someday. I might end up putting all my games over there too.

        I ended up buying that one two weeks ago and I got it friday. It took about 2 hours to put together but I was happy with my work. I think it is supposed to hold about 560 DVDs.

          Damn, and I thought MY collection was taking up a lot of space. Props to you durahan for dwarfing my videogame and dvd collections =P /salute

            Bleh I need something like that. I'm out of space between my 3 racks. The house I live in is pretty small though, and I'm already out of space, so I'm not real sure where I'd put it >.>

                Spartak CD/DVD Spinning Tower in Cherry Finish - 2390 this is the one I bought in case anybody is interested, the measurements are on the page. Be careful with the company though, after I ordered it I saw some bad feedback via some other sites about them, but mine was ok when I got it.

                    I'd love to have a rack like that Durah. (Talking about the DVD rack pictures...) The problem is that it rotates so it actually has a bigger footprint than the actual tower. But it still is tempting to buy one for my games because those I will NOT take out of their cases.

                        That is true TGM. The website lists it at 19.25 inches so I turned it to the apex which is 4" from the base so fully extended it would need about 27.25" around it to be able to turn freely without hitting anything.

                            Wow thanks Durah for measuring that for me! Old Victorian house so we are really limited on space.

                              Thats a hell of a dvd collection.. My mom has hers spread throughout the house.. My room, living room, her room, a rack in the dining room.. Some are even scattered around north texas at various houses.
