That pattern does seem to repeat. I turn 28 this year. Guess I've got two years to change the world.

I think Pai Pai offered to help me take over the world at one point, get him to join your little troupe too.

Don't take over the world. The idea that if someone wins then the fighting will stop has only made us more adept at subjugating one another. Top-down hierarchies of dominance where the masses act as appendages of privileged individuals are only placeholders for a time when the masses will coalesce into superorganisms with no need of direction from a higher source. Even in this rudimentary network of text and abstractions of thought we've already seen standalone complexes like marblecake emerge and vanish in the memetic hotbeds of the internet. The communications infrastructure that we're building is at the same time the khala of humanity and the primordial pool from which a new order of replicators will emerge.

What's left is to show people that they have power to do good through this medium. That they are not helpless to achieve their ideals, and that laying themselves in fealty to the goals and desires of the powerful is not the only way to meaningfully express their lives.

What makes you think I give a shit about impro---

actually, wait. It was just Pai Pai telling me about how he wanted to take over the world. I have no such aspirations. That'd just be silly, right?

I wouldn't give it all away but I would give. Sometimes when I'm out and about and I see someone do something unselfish for a stranger, I wish I could reward them. Once I was in a store and I saw these 3 kids and from the look of them you'd assume they were little punks. They were loud and obnoxious and as I stood a few people behind them in line I couldn't wait for them to leave. An elderly man in front of them dropped a $20 out of his pocket when he was pulling out his gloves. I thought I knew what was going to happen so I started to walk forward towards the group of kids. One of the boys picked up the money and started to put it in his pocket but the eldest said "NO" and grabbed it from him. He then went up to the elderly man and gave it back. I learned a lesson in not judging a book by its cover and he deserved a reward so I bought their sodas and candy that they were in the store buying. If I were rich I'd do things like that but on a more grand scale. I'd like to award scholarships to young people who's families can't afford it but who have promising futures if they only get a chance...etc. So no TM, you don't change if you don't want to. I still do rallies and volunteer work, just like I did back in my idealistic days. I'm just more realistic about what I can accomplish.

With that much money chances are I would open up a business of opening local hydrogen gas stations across america (North and South) Then make a partner ships with honda to make normal standard cars that are hydrogen powered and then open up shops that will allow trade ins and we destroy and recycle the old gasoline/disel and resell hybrids back to manufacturer. With his total supply of money I think I should be able to get enough across mexico, canada, and maybe US to have a mass switch take place. South America is going to be hell and a half to do.

Edit: The reason I said normal is because Honda FCX Clarity - Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicle - Official Web Site the cars they are making are high end models. That kinda defeats the purpose of making them to switch over. I do like startrek but I do not want my car to be a mini enterprise if its going to cot me a few trips to the local loan shark to get.

Yes I am talking about air condition, a radio and non automatic windows and locks and as an improvement. Welcome to the future.

The two richest men in the world, both of whom strongly feel they owe it to society to do some good with all that wealth for what they have achieved. I'm not against capitalism per se, I'm just against the notion of over 80% of the wealth being concentrated among the top 1~3% of the population (and earning far, far more money than the President of the USA who's arguably the hardest working individual in the world.)

I just have it out for pro athletes and celebrities in general. I like certain actors and their movies, but I strongly believe that these people should absolutely not be treated as rolemodels and worshiped under the blatant Celebrity-fetish that plagues North America. Look at what it did to Elvis

And when you consider how the US Economy works, it doesn't even make any sense; something like 76~80% of the US economy is based on consumer spending. Well, wouldn't increasing the average wages of the middle class have a substantial impact? More people would be buying crap (and hopefully not falling into debt from the temptation of having more money to blow but some people just can't be helped/taught) thus stirring the Global Economy and raising the standard of living. On what conceivable level can you justify one person making in a day what an employee makes in an entire year?!

Oh, because that person worked really hard for it? Bullshit. Said person benefited from the high quality education system in the US, and no 1 person runs a company; You have the support of all your employees to make said company successful in tandem with your own hard work and ideas. So no, you did not get to the top "on your own". Should a CEO earn more money then anyone else in the company? Yes, because he or she has earned it, but there really ought to be a god damned line.

                        Athletes and Actors piss me off even more, especially golfers. I'll finish by letting the late (great ^^) George Carlin make my point;

Since I was 14. Right about the time I lost my idealism. Hmmm

Mal: I agree, the president makes way too little, especially considering that he's working or atleast on-call 24/7. However, for the 4 years that he's president he pays for exactly nothing. Free housing, clothes, food, whatever. 0 expenses. I still don't think it compensates for the work put in, but it helps.
As for athletes, actors, etc. They make what society determined they should be payed. If people were truly upset about how much they were payed, they'd quit buying tickets. Steinbrenner (sp?) figured out if he spent large sums of cash on the popular and talented players, then more people would come and watch the Yankees play. He sells out more often which more than makes up for the money he spent on the talent in the first place.

The thing is people's mentality has changed in regards of spending and cost/value ratios so they will never ever pay more than the minimum. So rising wages would mean an increase in products' prices one way or the other, which would cut into profits, which would in turn send even more production jobs to cheaper places.

So, unless it was a global wage rise there's no way to realistically do it without having a backlash in the production sector. Heck many of the jobs kept in more expensive places like the US are 100% PR so people doesn't feel guilty buying something produced with the lowest quality by someone with the lowest education and the lowest wage in the world.

Because the central offices are right here!

Yeah... did I mention I'm about to turn 30? Woe is me.
