Good thing we have Windows users- I've NEVER heard of a windows machine getting a virus- I'm sure Windows users have nothing to do with the fact that Antivirus software sales exceed $4billion a year.

Not very often at all, and with good reason-

What I do see all the time is some Windows users basically doing the point, laugh, and "I told you so" every time Apple bad news come out about Apple or one of their products.

And in any case it's not fair for anyone to generalize about either platform- both have their strong points, and both have very strong and loud-mouthed proponents. You can't say because there are some loud-mouthed fanboys with a blog that all mac users are loud-mouthed fanboys, or fanboys at all.

It's different OS's for different users- and it's like anytime a Mac user says "I use OS X because I think it's better" they're a fanboy. People use Linux because they think it's better, or Windows because they think it's better. It's a personal preference, let's just leave it at that.

This thread is just about stirring up shit anyways.

Because some Mac users honestly look down on PC users.

We just think they're silly for that. I don't think I've seen a PC user get in a Mac user's face and berate him for using inferior hardware except in commercials though.

That's the OP's right though, and I'm sure there are several that do appreciate his opinion.


I'm an avid user of both platforms, and that said, I can clearly see the arguments for both sides. For me, Windows is undeniably better at work. There are simply too many things I can't do at work on a Mac. For me though, Mac is undeniably more convenient to use at home.

Anyone who actually knows what they're talking about (which is not most people) knows that no OS is immune to the user deliberately installing something. The system would be pretty much unusable if it was. On the other hand, Windows is, and continues to be, susceptible to drive by infections where the user doesn't have to do anything. This does not happen on OS X. OS X is, for all intents and purposes, immune to catching malware and worms.

These systems did not catch a virus and they did not have malware pushed to them; the user went out of their way to do something stupid.
