          Yeah, too many hits, went down less than a day after it went live. I've found the link on a few news websites. Their tourism board confirmed it, as well.

                They want you to spend like all your time outside and playing in the sun and sand? While I like the idea of living in luxury such as that, I'd miss FFXI too much, sad to say.

                Will be cool for the person who gets it though. Pretty sweet gig.

                        I wonder what deadly animals the island and surrounding waters contains. It sounds wonderful, but the animals around Australia are scary as hell. Every now and then they even get waves of tiny, finger nail size jellyfish that one sting will kill you, aside from the larger, extremely fast swiming box jellyfish (one of the only species if not the only species of jellyfish that swim rather than drift) that will kill you, and tiger sharks...... and the butt load of insects on the dry land.

                        *deep sigh* I wish I was there getting paid that much for nothing.

                          I saw a headline on this on Fark a few days ago. Honestly, with publicity like that, did they NOT expect the server hosting the application to crash?

                          The only reason I'm not/wouldn't apply is because I'm not much of an outside person. Kudos to whoever gets it though.

                              Akanji? I can't remember. I've seen that special on Discovery channel a couple times, though.
                              And I'd risk it for 105k and 6 months of easy living on the beach.
