Yeah! And people who get raped aren't victims either. Clearly, they were asking for it.

I'm not expecting to change your mind, TGM. You're perfectly entitled to hate this guy.

I just want to know what you think of the woman at this point. The way your enmity is flung at the husband, it just seems like you're a little too forgiving of what the wife has done.

And I don't think it's fair of us to sit on the outside and presume that he's the bad guy and the reason the marriage ended or that he's mean enough to let someone die for hurting him. (Unlikely, but I try to stay as unbiased as I can with these things)

LOL I saw this on the news earlier. Apparently he doesn't actually expect them to remove the kidney and give it back he wants compensation for it which he thinks should be more than their multi-million dollar home.

          My only comments.

Without knowing either side of it, it's a low blow to try to deny him access to the kids after recieving something live saving like that. Assuming that he is a decent father and all that.

On the other hand, it was foolish of him to give something like that and expect to save their marriage and whatever else he was expecting to get out of giving her his kidney. That was a gift and she is under no obligation to do anything for him.

If the marriage was already having issues that he is claiming were caused by her ill health then I'd assume that there were deeper underlying issues that aren't being mentioned. Also once a relationship starts to crack, then it's quite possible some things were said or done that helped deepen those cracks until it was no longer possible for them to be together even with her now better health.

And gotta run to class now otherwise I'd say something about wondering about the reasons she could be denying him access to the kids. For all we know he could be badmouthing her to the kids 'cause she left him, he seems to expect recompense for a gift (always wrong) etc etc.

You have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be misqouted and then used against you.

I don't have a big ego, it just has a large mouth.

Again, I am not saying that what the woman did was ok. The article is not addressing that issue is it? I'm addressing that a DOCTOR is advocating this. It's just wrong plain and simple. If the shoe were on the other foot and the doctor was the woman, I'd react the same way. DO NO HARM....and he's doing harm just suggesting what he's suggesting.

I guess I have a unique perspective being in the condition that I am. I can see hwo detrimental this can be to the program where others can not. I belong to a group that monitors anything organ donation related in the news/tv shows/movies/etc. It's important that the correct information gets out and that people are lead to believe things that could hurt the program.

And again, I will state.....she can NOT keep the kids from him without hardcore proof that there is a major issue. If she does have this proof then she should keep the kids from him. Especially being a doctor and the connections and resources he has at his disposal, there is no way that she can keep the kids away from him. He's just using that as a sympathy ploy OR he is trying to get sole custody and take the kids away from her.

Re: Wife: I want a divorce! Husband: Then I want my kidney back!

The guy is a dumbass for giving her a kidney to (try to) buy her love in the first place. And she simply used him like he deserved.

That being said... I'd probably tell her to keep the kids in exchange for getting my kidney back. I mean those things don't grow on trees and he'll probably need it later on. Specially if he wants to start a new family.
