I try to make AMVs in Adobe Premiere and play around with Photoshop while I am not at work/watching anime/playing ffxi or other games. I'm just really getting into it since like August last year when I made my first AMV and started on a few others at the same time. I'm really looking toward making a AMV compilation of random episodes of random animes, however, since I don't know what scenes I'll use, I'd like to open all of the clips related to each anime at one time which drains alot of memory. Recently I tried to open both seasons of Gundam Seed and Code Geass (like 150 Episodes) and of course the program crashed lol. I have a 64-Bit Vista OS on my computer now, and have a 8GB of Ram installed as well, however since Adobe Premiere CS4 is not 64-Bit, I am probably still gonna be SOL when i try to load all of those episodes into the program lol.
Anyways I'm looking for tips. Would it be easier for me to just load pieces of the AMV separately and combine them later when I know what clips I am going to be using, or would it be easier to use small clips like 320x240 in size and after I'm finished replace all of the clips with the correct resolution bigger ones and upload to youtube? Or should I just go through the clips manually and write down what episodes have what clips I want to use and then just upload those clips into the program? Any other tips are appreciated.
