I just started to settle into my new place. Its actually pretty nice and doesn't seem to be loaded to the brim with the scams, too. Last place pulled a lot of weird new charges on the tenants before my lease was up, so I didn't renew.
I just hate that moving out got me a nice dose of hayfever. I actually got to the point where I almost stopped caring and left the apartment as it was after I got all my stuff out, but I onced it over with the vacuum anyway.
Since the economy sucks so bad, its my sister who's my roommate, who has a dog named Lucy. Lucy has a bald rear because she tried to chew the fleas off it. Apparently, she associates any male that enters the premises with freedom, too. She darts into my room the second my sister isn't there and stares at me pleadingly. Silly ass-bald dog. Least the fur is growing back.
The big challenge has been getting all the stuff that was in my apartment into one smaller room. I don't like that my bed is right across from my entertainment center, but we agreed I'd keep non-Wii gaming in my room. Sister thinks all gaming that doesn't involve flailing your limbs around is a brain-dead activity.
Its. So. Tempting. To want to play FFXI from the bed.
One of the first things I noticed about this new complex was actually how friendly the neighbors were, this place was closer to the city so I expected people to be more reserved, but they all came up and said hello, introduced themselves and all that.
My old complex no one would ever come out and say hello to anyone. Didn't seem like many people stuck around, though. It was either old people or college kids.
Of course, I did have to meet a really cute chick on my way out. I was hauling things to the dumpster, all scruffy looking and sneezing my head off. I'm sure she thought I was a winner.
Oh well, least with the new place there's a sushi bar less than a mile away. That makes up for that. Kinda. The hostess there is hot.
