            I understand the whole sole of the shoe being an insult part, I just lol'd that the quote made it sound as if throwing shoes at people is only considered an insult to Muslims, as if you could throw shoes at people of other cultures without them taking it personally at all.

              But, cultural differences are funny. To people in Iraq that was like a major insult towards Bush, while he was probably laughing at the whole thing. XD



              Pro-tip: If you are going to insult someone from another country you need to do your research to find things that are culturally offensive to your target or you'll risk having the oposite effect and look like a moron instead.

                            How the hell does he look like a moron?

                            He intended to seriously insult Bush IN HIS CULTURE. He didn't care if Bush felt personally insulted. Much the same as a pie to the face; it's all in the audience's satisfaction, not the subject's displeasure.
