I haven't paid much attention to it, but he must have pissed someone off good to actually get charged with anything. Crooked politics are a tradition in Chicago, you have to be really disliked for someone to call you out on it.

I didn't read the article, but w/e it says, my money is on it being true. Chicago's in my backyard and the corruption reeks all the way over the state line. I think they're actually making an effort on cracking down on corruption across the board though- there was a huge drug-ring/conspiracy bust a couple weeks ago involving like 17 chicago police officers and a few chiefs, if I remember correctly.
