Well that sucks ass, then how are people suppose to update there information before the first?
Also, I called POL and they said I might be able to do it tomorrow if not tonight, they told me to keep trying though.

It's better to wait anyways. If you subscribed today or earlier this week, you'd be charged for the whole month of October and then November next month.

Actually, assuming you've got a 30-day free trial to go through, the first billable month is prorated. Just that that's the only time it's prorated, so aside from that any cancellations should always be done before month-end maintenance, and any activations should always be done after.

Well, you can't, but that's not really what Lunaryn is saying.

You get 30 days free with a new account. When those 30 days are up, you're charged for the partial month left, pro-rated for however many days are actually left.

That's the only time the fees are pro-rated. Anytime after that, if you cancel and then reactivate the same account, you're charged for the whole month, even if there's only one day left in it. So it's best to cancel before the end of the month instead of, say, on the 2nd, because otherwise you'd pay for that whole month. And it's best to reactivate at the beginning of the month instead of, say, the 27th, because otherwise, you'd pay the full fee for a few days.

Again, that's only when you cancel and reactivate, so it doesn't really apply to you, and it has nothing to do with the registration server maintenance other than coincidental timing.

When you cancel, though, you can still play until the end of the month. Of course if you can't play the game past the 2nd due to trip/dropping internet/whatever, then ya you're right.
