Nader had his chance back in 2000. I'm going to have to agree with Michael Moore in that he's a "Shadow of his former self" now. The guy had a pretty solid platform way back and it's too bad, he could have probably done a lot of good.
I seriously doubt a third party candidate will ever win, at least not in our life times. I do however agree that you should vote for them anyway if that's who you believe in. Otherwise what the hell's the point in democracy? The basic principal of the system is you are free to choose who you believe in, power of the people etc. At least at the end of the day you can feel proud of sticking with your convictions.

Nader has had several chances. He and third party candidtates have been unanimously screwed by the media and incumbent democrats and republicans in national and local government every time.
Also, Micheal Moore is an expert on being a shadow of his former self.
I'll just be happy when this thing is over and I get 18 months or so where I don't have to haul 5 pounds of political mailings to the recycle bin every day. The most annoying thing is I'll continue to get those for another two weeks even though I'll probably send in my ballot this week.
