I can garuntee you that the person who said "We have over 9,000.." was a troll, likely from 4chan and was infact refering to the "ITS OVER NINE THOUSANND!!" meme.

The joke here is not the word "penis" and certainly is not child rape.

The joke here is that they got through to her and she repeated it on live television.

...and her lack of research in this particular instance did absolutely 0 to help said issue. Yes, there are pedophile networks etc... and they're not going to advertise on forums.

Also it's rather clear that you're not objective on the issue, which is very understandable in that case. There's no point in belaboring the point any further. If it happened in relation to a drug ring or something else then you'd be laughing as hard as everyone else and someone else would be offended by it.

He didn't advertise. From what she said he made a post that said he was from a group of pedophiles that did blah blah blah. No names were named so he didn't give himself or anyone else away, which of course a pedophile wouldn't. Now how someone decided that this was someone from 4chan etc, I do not know the details.

As for the drug reference, no I wouldn't find that funny either. Maybe it is an age thing, being an adult and experiencing a lot does that to you.

Oh, so its that you thnk she was trolled by someone from 4chan so the funny thing is that she repeated the possible 4chan post on television. So kind of like going to a football game all painted up and making it on the big screen and/or television. If thats the point, I still don't find it terribly funny, its more of a "meh". (Fyi, I wouldn't fling around "I can guarantee" on the internet unless you have the proof to back it up. There are plenty of people that will challenge you.)

meh... I can't add anything that won't continue this in a negative fashion. Your whole line of thinking and rationalization is so far removed from mine overall that there isn't any way I can state my point that will change your perspective. I'm pulling the agree to disagree card on this one.



However, I don't think age really has anything to do with it. After all, the wife and I both found it funny and we're a lot older than you might think. lol

She was certainly trolled. If not directly by someone from /b/, from someone who has been directly influenced by their memes. Really, when you include "We do not forgive, we do not forget", you're definitely at least somewhat familiar with one of the chans.

This is very little like going to a sports game and getting your picture on the jumbotron. It's far more like seeing the following report on your local news:

I can because, as Feba said, "Over 9,000" wasn't the only 4chan or "chan" related meme that she restated from that "threat."

It really isn't so hilarious if you're not so familiar with 4chan and it's history.
