I don't find possible child abduction, rape, and murder a hilarious subject just because a grown woman said penis and it reminds some people of DBZ. But then again, our family has been directly affected by this subject so maybe thats why.

So it all boils down to some old out-of-touch crusader getting a crank post on her site and launching another crusade over it without realizing it was like getting a prank phone call. Serious topic, so she assumed all replies must be taken seriously.

This is why we don't listen to celebrities on the issues, folks, especially celebrities more heavily involved with the media. Media and "out-of-touch" are practically the same thing these days.

Last time I checked, the basic joke wasn't in that she said penis, it was that she said "over 9000" like it was serious business. Nobody here is even remotely implying that the subject of child rape was in any way funny, and honestly, it really downer'd the joke for me.

Last time I checked, the basic joke wasn't in that she said penis, it was that she said "over 9000" like it was serious business. Nobody here is even remotely implying that the subject of child rape was in any way funny, and honestly, it really downer'd the joke for me.

If they had meant for the "over 9000" to be the only thing funny about what she said, then why didn't they edit out the word penises? If the 2nd video had just had her saying the same thing as Vegita then I wouldn't have said that. But having it edited to say penises too changes the perspective, does it not?

As far as the subject of the video, child abduction and rape, I just don't see the humor. The title of the thread is "Oprah Trolled by 4chan". Is there a link to the post on her forum or a link to the 4 chan messge board claiming responsibility in the op? No. That could have been seen as humorous. A video of Oprah talking about a post made on her forum, which she took seriously as any internet ignorant person would, talking about child abduction and rape....not so funny in my book. You see YM, thats why us humans are so wonderful and unique, because we are all different. You might perceive something as hilarious and I might think its bullshit. It's a wonderful thing.

Let's review, shall we? Vegeta, as we all know, goes "Over NINE-THOUSAAAAAAAND!" Oprah, however, only went "Over nine-thousand." Of course the timing's going to be off, it's just easiest to include the word "penises" because she says it practically instantly after "nine-thousand." Remember, it's not the nine-thousand part she's focused on.

It's been said a couple of times but it's not funny because Oprah says "over 9000 penises," it's the fact that she gives all these details ("they're organized, they're trading the pictures online, etc.") and talks about helping the authorities find this organization...which of course doesn't actually exist. She took a random post on the message board as fact.

It's not that I find child rape funny or that she shouldn't raise awareness about it, but it's funny to see her make a fool out of herself (not that any of her actual viewers would know) over a random message board post. It makes you wonder, does she take EVERYTHING posted on the board as factual?

I don't expect this to actually solve anything, but I should be entertained for a good 5 minutes or so, and isn't that what really matters when all is said and done?

If you didn't like this one... you really wouldn't like the second time it happened. Trust me on that one.

Personally I find it funny because she's freaking out and jumping at shadows without doing any research at all. For such a powerful and influential figure, it'd be nice if she took five minutes out of her day to look into some of the stuff she says on her show.

Thats just it, I don't think its funny. Some of you do, I don't. Is that ok? I've said its fine if you think its funny, so let me think its not.

I'll tell you why. While some of you might think its far fetched that pedophiles are not organized and doing the shit this troll claims, the fact is that they are. The fact is the threat is real. So even though it was supposed to be a joke, that wasn't very funny imo, it's still a very serious subject and thats why she's addressing it. I won't go into details but we lost a young lady that we loved very much to a pedophile. He abducted her from a mall, raped and mutilated her, and dumped her body in a ditch. He was caught years later as the leader of a ring of pedophiles that exchanged pictures of the young ones that they abused. One of the pedophiles in the ring was busted in Louisiana and he helped the police to find the guy responsible for her death.

So trust me when I say it has nothing to do with my age, I do not find the op funny because what she's saying is a very valid and serious issue.

...and her lack of research in this particular instance did absolutely 0 to help said issue. Yes, there are pedophile networks etc... and they're not going to advertise on forums.

Also it's rather clear that you're not objective on the issue, which is very understandable in that case. There's no point in belaboring the point any further. If it happened in relation to a drug ring or something else then you'd be laughing as hard as everyone else and someone else would be offended by it.
