And before his supporters try and nail me to the cross, I've actually not decided on who I'm voting for. This video scares the pants off me, thats for sure though. I have a group of gamer buddies that I get on vent or irc with about a week before the election and we have a good 2-3 hour debate. (Ok ya its more like 4 hours because you know how these things go!) We all share our tidbits of information, opinions, and knowledge with one another and *gasp* still stay friends. And some of us aren't even from the US. I usually don't decide until then what I'm doing.

Would you believe that a significant section of the Republican party still supports her?

Sad, but true.

Frankly, I'm all for that. The closer the Republicans cling to figureheads like her and their doctrine (if you can call it that) of know-nothingism, the further they will break away from the mainstream. And that suits me perfectly fine - they have much to atone for, and while they will never admit that the problems they face (and subsequently shoved onto the American public) were caused by themselves, I'll be satisfied watching the karmic backlash smack them down and leave them broken by the roadside for at least the next few years.

People said this about the Democrats back when Clinton was elected.
People said this about the Republicans when Bush got elected.

Voters are much more fickle than we give them credit for. Give us an economic problem or national embarassment and that's really all it takes to switch sides.

In the cast of the last two presidents, I'm leaning on "embarassment" being the leading factor. There's a reason Obama didn't want Hillary for VP - he didn't want the Bill Clinton sideshow.
