    Saw this around some place, pretty interesting. Obviously the basic point should be common knowledge, but it also has some very good arguments to back it up.

    Two basic rules of thumb that will go a long way:



    1)Should you ever get picked up/arrested/read your rights, when you are asked if you understand your rights, always say no.


    2)If the police are asking you if they can do something, like search your car, your home, or your person, they don't have the "right" to do so w/o your consent. If they did, they wouldn't ask. Be firm but polite. Insist on your right to privacy.
