No it wasn't a bad call, its a bad reaction to a silly 1 point infraction. He flamed, he got a slap on the hand. I edited the post before the infraction unfortunately. I am exhausted from many days of scooping gunk out of my flooded basement and didn't do it in the right order...sue me.

You don't know that. TGM was editing out flames as she went and didn't actually assign the infractions until after she made the edits. It was bad procedure because now we have no record of what was originally in the posts to deserve the infraction, but I'm going to give my moderator the benefit of the doubt.

Even if it was a wrongful infraction this is not the way to deal with it and Sevv should know that.

More people than Sevv were flaming and more people than Sevv got warnings. I'm told that the original post had capslocked name calling. I didn't see it so I can only assume the infraction was deserved. I'm not interested in calling him or TGM a liar but frankly one explanation makes a lot more sense to me.

Sevv has pulled this exact same stunt before and I'm getting tired of the drama. I've let him know more than I probably should have about how our infraction system works so he knows better than anyone what an inconsequential, pissant slap on the wrist this infraction is and yet for some reason we have this QQ farewell thread about it.

The proper way to deal with a contested infraction is a PM to the issuing moderator and failing that an appeal to an administrator. If anyone believes that I would not hear them out and give them a fair shake, I am insulted. You know what I think? I think Sevv figured the only way a proper appeal would have gotten anywhere is if he lied to my face, which I guess he has more honor than to do, so he went and made public just the part of the situation that would make it look like he was getting picked on (again). This is some Rank S attention whoring.

If I was AKosygin he'd already be banned. Heck, being Taskmage I don't even know why I haven't banned his ass except that I actually like the guy. But let me be clear that I am not having this shit on my forum. One way or another this will not continue. Thread locked.
