Unless I'm missing something, Namco was not forced to change the image. They made the choice to change it themselves.

This isn't really true. The gameplay may be getting crappier as the characters get skankier, but correlation and causation are totally different things. If anything, it's the reverse of what you say-- the games are getting crappier, so they turn up the gainaxing to compensate.

This isn't really true. The gameplay may be getting crappier as the characters get skankier, but correlation and causation are totally different things. If anything, it's the reverse of what you say-- the games are getting crappier, so they turn up the gainaxing to compensate.

thats the thing, they dont fix the problems, they just cover them up with boobs, that in turn ruins the game. I dont care what others say, if the game plays like crap, I dont care how sexy the girls are.

ftfy. The game would be shitting with or without it. It's not like giving realistic breasts (for fit, athletic women) in realistic outfits (for women fighters, especially martial artists) is going to suddenly make them get off their ass and make something that doesn't suck. It's just going take away the distractions that allow that sucking to not be noticed as much.

I don't see how it could be considered censorship, especially given the negative connotations associated with it, to alter your own property. If I buy a house and find the yellow paint (or, to make a better analogy, a mural or custom wallpaper) objectionable, it's not censorship to paint over it. It would be censorship for the government or some gang to come in and paint over my walls because they find them objectionable.

It is, however, possible to censor yourself. For example, if you write a book, and then tone down some violent or other content for reasons other than for the quality of the writing and story.
