      Hmmm...

I was thinking more on the lines of better physique, data inserts etc. Not extending ones appendage.

I dunno, I assumed it was just lazy thinking on his part. Here you could remake yourself with bits of "Ah-nuld", Einstein, and Jesse Owens, and you don't want to toss in a little Sean Michaels, too? That's just crazy talk, is what that is.

Extended appendage indeed. Indeed, sir. A universe of possibilities and you're fixated on the local flavor. If we're at the point of hand-tailoring bodies, there'd be much pioneering to be done in the field of intimate contact.

Honestly, I'd rather just give up the ghost. I'm sure at 80 I'll be good to go.

Next would follow with the painstaking ordeal of relaying the messages sent from the brain, or artificial brain to the prosthetic body and allowing for feedback and control.
I was thinking of it more from a ship of theseus angle. Creating a prosthetic that functions to replace say a leg that interfaces with the existing nervous structure probably isn't too far off in the future. From there move on to other organs and systems until there's a fully functioning artificial body supporting a biological nervous system.
