It's more that I can't tan. I used to as a child, but I've noticed as I got older I just burn to a crisp. And since I don't want skin cancer, the lump-in-my-chest breast cancer scare was enough for one life time, I don't over-expose to the sun anymore. But I'm also really fair-skinned, so if I get one, it'll be nice and vibrant.
Mine aren't super low-rise though. More average-low. I do have a pair that are reaaaaally low, and they make me about as uncomfortable as pants that come up too high.
I'm really picky with where the waistline is in my clothing. :3
