Jonathin Strange and Mr. Norell - the absolute BEST book I've ever read, it's a historical fiction book with the idea that one of the kings that united england was a magician raised in the fairy realm (seriously... not the fairy realm that you'd ever think, it's absolutely twisted and wonderful)
Terry Pratchett - Wrote my favorite fantasy world ever called Discworld, it's a flat disc that rides upon the backs of four giant elephants that stand on the shell of the universe turtle across space, yea, if that's not a fun way to put a book I dont know what is ^^ one of the characters is "The Luggage" a magical chest that will follow it's owner through dimensions and protect it from harm (usually) while storing their belongings and giving back it's owners garments with a nice lilac scent.
Neil Gaiman - There's honestly too much that he's done that I can explain, he wrote Stardust which came out in theaters not too long ago, American Gods, Anazi Boys, Neverwhere, Mirror Mask, and a bunch of short stories in books that are absolutely wonderful =D I'd highly recommend him if you are ever looking for a new book - oh yea... he's most famous for the Sandman series which I havent read yet :D
Gaimain and Pratchett wrote a book called Good Omens, it's fantastic xD the story more or less explains what would happen in the world if the antichrist had neither good nor bad influences growing up and was able to rationalize for himself... at the age of 12 - while the angel that placed him on earth actually mixed him up with some other boy and has to try and figure that out
Haha, that's all for now, I'll put up a few more when I get up
