Nuances - Dreams In Vana'diel Version 2008

I feel comfortable on this forum. Whether or not it's because I understand the community, or if it's because of the way different egos interact, it's always excellent killing time on the site. So with that said, I'll start the festivities.

BBQ HATES RDM Melee. The thread can be about advocating not doing it, but if the words "RDM" and "Melee" are anywhere in the same thread topic, he'll jump straight to the bottom of the nested links and advocate how much RDMs should be happy with constant invites, to stop being Princesses, and that we only get away with dumb concepts because a PT would rather deal with our inabilities to see beyond the scope of our own egos than to look for another support job.

BBQ is most of the reason I sign on every day, honestly.

If he didn't hate my job with the same passion I love it, then I'd have almost no reason to post anymore.

I don't hate RDM, I just hate people who think they're Altana's Gift to the job or your PT for being in it and also that SE somehow owes them a massive update. I know my fair share of helpful, non-egotistical RDMs. Additionally, I have my melee fix elsewhere and being a RDM healer isn't really a big problem for me, as SCH has again acclimated me to the task quite well.

Simply put, I've never allowed myself to fall into a situation where a job was the one-and-only I played and I've never stuck to one particular set of classes. Foobar is not just a mage, but a BST as well. Kitten has RNG, DNC, BLU and COR. So I get plenty of jobs in which hurting things is the norm. I just hurt things with RDM without pulling out the sword. Doesn't mean my RDM will never cap a sword out, I just know its not always needed in PT and have no deep urge to "prove" RDM can melee.

It can melee, just not as good as other jobs in 6/6 EXP PT setups, so just stay in the back and Haste me.
