Hmmm If there are slaves kicking around, still I must have jumped into a time machine. You wouldnt happen to be referecning the numerous jamacians, haitians, columbians, mexicans, vasrious other -cans that work these "Slave Jobs" On a visa and are paid (however meaningless pay). Oh they are also allowed to roam freely around carefree and whimsical during their time off like every other "free" person.

Or maybe your referencing the millions of people who consider themselves slaves, union workers who lose benifits, mindlessly working away for "the man". Only to be laid off or go on strike, earning no income yet expected to retain company loyalty.

On the note of Barack Obama, I watched some more of his speeches. My god is he ever an elegant speaker, he has people hanging on every word, talking about helping the little guy and the oppressed man in society. Kinda reminds me of someone that ran for power in germany, you know promising jobs, get the country on the right track to getting out of debt, working for the little guy that couldnt afford to feed his family, but had 3 jobs. Hmmmm I wonder who that could be, and how did that turn out for said country in I donno the 9 years he was in power. I guess on the positive side he did keep all his promises >.> .

( im not directley comparing Obama to hitler, but the way he capture people with his words of "nothing" is very hitler esque, in the 18 years I have acctively followed world politics I have never heard a candidate talk as elquently. Except in old WW2 doc's about hitlers rise to power.)

You know I think that both HRC and obama are full of shite! and that other guy, the republican , who gives a crap about him. No matter who is elected to pres, it will take alot of action to convince me that the Presidencey as well as our nation is taking a turn for the better. For the better part of 2 decades we have be en on a rapid decline in standards and practices across the board on all issues, heathcare Sucks, education sucks, foreign policy sucks, job wages suck......... I say shut the hell up and make a change already! NOw IF I got to make a choice of the lesser of all evils, I would vote Hillary. Why you ask? well lets look at what has been done in the past lets look at what has been accomplished. During Clinton's 8 years, she was a very active first lady and has taken on many issues. Is she definately the best cannidate, hell no! I wish Gov bill richardson was still in it. I was pulling for him from the get go. I currently live in New Mexico and I love the things he stood for. And I believe that in order to see what a person is going to be like as a leader, you gotta look at what kind of track record that person has. Gov. Bill Richardson would have been great for this country.

Anyways, I am voting Hillary, but damn it when are we gonna get a really good president? When are we gonna see our John F Kennedy? I want a president with Vision, Integrity,Compassion, Conviction and Common Sense

Feba Until I start reading in the news that "Mass Slavery Camp", "Slaves You Want 'Em We Got 'Em", "I was Sold for a pig and a sack of corn seeds" (just some various possible headlines. I will go under the assumtion that the Emancipation Proclimation Signed way back in good ol 1865 (after a war which was fought for it). Is still being upheld today. If this dosent hit the headlines It does not exist. If you know It exists, yet don't do anything about it your as bad as us for denying it. No worse than us. Infact head down to this slave camp you know exists and get me a list of names, duties, owners, etc because Id be interested to know about it.

Oh by the way, the following things are consequences of breaking an ammendment to the constitution. (Not to mention a documented Treaty to end the civil war)

Death
Seizure of all family assests
Exile
Extradition of Kin
Reperations paid in full

Just to name a few. What will probably happen is the person will be hung for high treason, his family kicked from the country, His land sold off, payments made to the "slaves."

Also with holding information of a known violater of the constituion or any law is a violation of the beloved patriot act and can resault in.

Extradition
Prison Time
Seizure of all assest
Punishment of family: Not limited to but including, prison time, extradition, siezure of assets.

Most likely would be a tap to your phones, email, library card, anything personal. Upon conformation you can expect your family to recive at least jail time, more likely extradition, and you would get to spend a lovely vacation in Gitmo.

I read your article feba an save for about 12 sentance paragrah it speaks of slavery in the usa until 1865 when it was abolished. The modern Slavery section Indicates people who ebeter the country illegally, i.e boarder hoping, smggled in etc. You know what I have no sympathy for these people. What about the hundreds of thousands of people who are legitimate prospects for citezenship. Who are comming to this country to work and get a slice of the american dream. Then look at the hundreds of thousands who enter illegally taking jobs from people living for free, stealing the american dream.

The article says 50,000 people a year that are smuggled or brought illegally into the united states each year, end up in "Slavery". o it dosent acctually use the word slavery it says working for free to pay off debts. You know what thats what happens when someone does you a favor you pay them back.

I dont know if you follow hockey much but thee is a player for the detroit red wings by the name of darren mccarty, he played 6 years in detroit for absolutley nothing. He didnt earn a dime. Wanna know why? because the team paid of a 24 million dollar casino debt he had accumulated at the windsor casino. Is this considered slavery, NO its payment of debt.

People who come to the states illegally owe the people that got them here something in return. Usually this resaults in being a home keeper, farmer, prostitute, factory worker etc etc etc. For free. They are bound by the CONTRACT they made to get into the country. This does not make them slaves. They are paying off their debt to the people they owe it to. When its over they get their shot at the american dream.

Congratulations to Feba for derailing a thread with a post about a semantic error. The whole point of his original post is that there is more than one type of slavery (e.g. metaphorical slavery) and that only one kind (as I referred to in my explanation), legalized slavery or legalized ownership of humans is illegal. His point has no real merit, but he has successfully trolled you (and me) into arguing about it for several posts.

My recommendation would be to ignore Feba and talk about how Obama sucks/rules.
