Re: Could you live without having to leave your house?
Dad tends to be a weeee bit of an exaggerator and hypochondriac in general, so keep that in mind.
I do know that his Range of Motion isn't what it was. He can't turn his head as far as he once could, but it's still decent, I believe. Side to side isn't probably as limited as up/down. I think what bugs him more than that really, is headaches. He gets a lot of intense headaches, which I can only assume are because of the fusing, as he didn't suffer from them before. Messing with the spine is an iffy thing, as I'm sure you're acutely aware of. He claims it's harder to swallow. That I don't know about. He may just be being his whiny self there. He may not be.
I can sympathize with his headaches. I have TMJ to the point that my jaw is so out of joint I get huge knots in my neck muscles that end up giving me super fun migraines!!! I need a chiropractor, and probably some sports surgeon to clear it up, but have no money so basically, I just deal. x_x
Good thing is, he has pain killers that actually work on them, so he just gives me those when I get them. Bad news is they knock me totally out of my head. Owell. At least my head doesn't hurt. The meds I was prescribed for my migraines don't do jack shit. ...they won't even stop my menstrual cramps, much less my migraines. >.>;
