I can probably cook better in that game than I can in real life.

That aside, I don't think I'd survive playing the DS game the way TGM described it. Whenever I have to blow into the mic for any other DS game I own, people stare at me funny.

...that story still makes it sound like fun though.

Ya that one I definately can NOT play when I'm out going to appointments! Oh Lordie, I can't imagine what people would think if I played that while on the loo! LOL Most people don't realize I am a gamer so thats why I was trying to do it secretly on the loo but got caught red handed. I guess the security guard was thinking I was having a tryst in there. lol

Quite true, though I've already proved myself not only insane but downright strange with the stuff I do in my spare time. I played Phantom Hourglass and there's these bunny monsters that are "weak to loud noises". I kept throwing bombs at them in vain for what felt like hours until I realized I had to actually shout in the mic.

Man, that was more embarrassing than a lot of stuff I've done.

Holy shit, that's a Zelda 1 reference.

I made the same mistake in Zelda 1 back then too, except that in the North American version there was no microphone to use, which left me perpetually confused.

I hate Zelda 1 in so many ways.

LOL!! Yes! It's been so long that I totally forgot about that in the JP Zelda on the Disk System! I remember getting frustrated trying to figure it out...I thought it was the damn flute but it wasn't. So I sent the cartridge to my buddy in Japan (who was my gaming crack supplier lol) and he had to figure it out for me. Poor guy wasn't even a gamer either but that started him on a Zelda love affair. LOL

He's nearing 70 now and I feel guilty asking him to supply me anymore but now I can usually find it somewhere on the internet too. It just usually costs more cause he'd just charge me store price and he got free shipping through his company. Ahhh the nostalgic early days of gaming... *sniffsniff*
