                  I did try. Poor Maera came out with one eye bigger than the other. Hands all messed up. Lips were horrid. I'm bad at proportions, particularly faces and hands. I want them to look human, not anime-esque, which makes things even harder. At least for me. I'm good at mimicking images already done. I can draw them perfectly, even in blowing up the size.

                  It's just that some filter between my brain and my hand fails when it comes to translating the images of my characters from the brain to said hand.

                  I think I've got about 7 started, failed, and stopped sketches of various characters. I just don't think I have the talent for art. But I have a decent talent for the written word, so I'll take that and run.

                      I recently had to draw and laughed my butt off when I was done. My grandsons are living with me now and I was making a chore/schedule chart. Then I made a couple of pictures that they could then earn stickers to put on the pictures. I don't think my artistic skills have "leveled" much since 6th grade. LOL I envy anyone that can draw better than me and I think a trained monkey can. LOL

                              I've set my mini-goal to drawing a feminine head. Anybody have any advice? I think that eyes are supposed to be wider themselves and positioned lower on the head . . . anything I'm missing?
