So I mentioned this series of posts to my boyfriend while we were waiting in line at the Terminator attraction at Universal yesterday, and I told him that one of my online friends said that I should change my name to Megatron.

Thanks cid, my boyfriend now wants to name his firstborn (boy or girl) Megatron. Although even I have to admit that Megatron + his last name does have a fairly nice ring to it ...

It has begun. lol

You should dump him and then you should dump yourself. That's some really bad taste in a name.

Right, because it was ever in serious consideration as a name for a child that we have no idea we will ever even want.

Been waiting on my transcripts to transfer colleges, so I can go into the program I want. (I realized going in that I made my decision to change majors later in the semester than I should have, and that's partially on me.)

Transferring isn't terribly unusual since I went to a local community college for my AA - but I followed up with the college in Pittsburgh - which is the one with the outstanding transcript - and found that they only sent it out on the 23rd ... the college I want to go to has been closed since Christmas Eve. So chances are, the mail arrived there sometimes last week, but since no one is working there until the 2nd of January, they won't receive it.

Orientation is the 2nd of January, and that's a "must attend" to start in the Spring term.

Words can not describe my disappointment and anger at this situation. The last thing I wanted was to stop my forward momentum toward my degree. Ugh. I feel like I could cry.

You might try just showing up in the morning and letting them know the situation. Schools are first and foremost about making money. If they think its reasonable you'll be accepted then they're very likely to let you go ahead and get the ball rolling.

I am going to call them first thing. I do have to work that day but if I can get into the school then I'm going to do everything in my power.

Battlefield 4 is really bugging me. DICE has gone completely dark, leaving everybody with a broken game that's often completely unplayable. I'm not even confident they could fix the myriad bugs within 2014, even if they spent the whole year in crunch. I don't know how they slipped this turd past Microsoft and Sony, because the consistent crashing would be fail the game's certification almost instantly. I wouldn't be surprised if EA has been greasing the wheels all around just so that they could publish the game before Call of Duty's release.

Also, they have put all DLC on hold until BF4 is fixed. I agree with you though, this is completely fucking unacceptable especially by such a major publisher & renowned studio. I like DICE because I feel they make quality games (most of the time) and actually give a shit about balance, unlike IW or Treyarc. But this is beyond the pale. There is no excusing the mess that BF4 has been since beta really. I'm glad I didn't buy premium right away this time like I did with 3 (I may skip the DLC entirely at this point, especially come Sept. once Destiny is out) and I'll probably just skip BF5 entirely, or at least wait and see how the reviews are.

BF3 had an ugly launch as well but it was nowhere near this sloppy.

Spent new year's eve with a friend; previously only talked online, she came to town for the fireworks display. Got my landlord to rent the room next to mine for the night, since she couldn't find any available hotels (and there's nowhere else in town you're going to find that cheap anyway)

One of those "spend a few hours with someone and start to fall in love with them" nights, spent the next day hanging out as well. Unfortunately, she lives three hours away now, is going back to China in a couple weeks, and is in a committed relationship to boot. Not meant to be, but damn all the same.

After I took her to the bus station, I take my bike home; gear shift snaps as I'm trying to switch into a higher gear, causes my bike to lurch off balance, I wind up slamming into the pavement. Long scratch along my left arm, dime size patch of skin missing from my left hand, few inches off my right arm, and a quarter size bit off my right knee. Most of my body is sore now, ribs hurt if I laugh too hard. I can walk decently, but because my right knee can't bend without agitating the wound, stairs are a bitch.

I live on a sixth floor walk up.

Too make a bad situation worse, girls here don't seem to find injuries sexy.

The good side of this, I guess, is that I had jokingly told a Korean friend "If you think I'm that great," (referring to some things she had said) "you oughta get back here, I'm single now you know." After this I crash my bike, send photos. Get replies back, "Oh yeah, wait for me~, ...oh shit, what happened?" "Bike crashed. You'll have to get back even sooner, with wounds this sexy I won't stay single for long." So I mean, maybe. Maaaaaybe.

My peeve of the day is that I wore a skirt to work and my legs are now freezing. Stupid air conditioning in January.
