Re: What's your pet peeve in RL?
I think the "white shaming" and "you could never understand my problems" all stem from how entitled we've become as a society today. Which itself just stems from an increasingly selfish society. "I'm owed better service." Or better grades, or better money, or a better life, or whatever. We've become very me-centric. We focus on all the perceived injustices in our own lives and ignore everything and everyone else. Instead of working harder to earn what we already have or bettering others lives which would in turn enrich our own. (I'm preaching every bit as much to myself, if no more, as anyone else on this)
Everyone has their crosses to bear. As soon as we realize all those two-legged creatures we see and deal with every day are actual people with lives as intricate and complex as our own we'll likely become a far more caring and charitable people. Particularly when we start doing it with people outside our own monkeysphere.
