Why do I get a feeling that we're in a vicious cycle here?

YouTube (just for example) updates its layout -> people complain about the new layout -> YouTube gets working on something it perceives people liking better -> people get used to the new layout -> YouTube finishes its "improved" layout design -> YouTube updates its layout . . .

My only issue is that the videos aren't centered. It's all left-aligned and, to me, it looks like shit. I hate having a ton of white space on one side that's used for nothing.

So my little sister is flunking out of college, is an emotional wreck, and today Mom got a call from the school counselor that she's cutting herself again. We're scared out of our minds and worried she's going to try to kill herself again like she did a few years ago.

Woke up early this morning, come to find out, some asshole clipped my car, now the damn mirror is missing along with paint damage to the side of it. God damn it. I don't know who did it, I asked around all morning, nobody saw a fucking thing. -_-

Apparantly someone DID see something, there was a note left on my porch. Red Sedan License Plate XXXXX <--Number obviously. But I am going to head to the DMV today and have them track this plate number for me and bring it up with the Police to see if they can find the person who clipped my Honda. I mean it's going to take every bit of my self-control not to cuss them out for at least not waking me up and telling me. Fuck dude, show some courtesy will you?

The optimistic side of me wants to insist there's a perfectly good reason for everything . . .

The pessimistic side just went through his sister's attitude this morning. I don't think she comprehends either the concept of "treat others they way you want to be treated," nor the concept of "need to use the bathroom." All she was doing was gathering beauty supplies and what crap, with obviously no intent on leaving (she gave a lesser but similar bathroom-hogging experience to the guy she constantly abuses/ex/"boyfriend" last night), so when she left, explicitly stating that she was far from done in there, she cursed me out when I did what any sane person would with that opening.

She needs an attitudinal adjustment at her very core.

Well basically Boss Lady has been almost completely MIA the past few weeks, didn't show for any of the funeral stuff or anything, plus I was working around all of this shit. So I'm pulling like 30 hour days to make my appearances because it just has to be done and she's just not there.

Fast forward to today, it's the first day in two weeks where I'm pulling an Operator shift and not the Manager shift, I suggest one thing and she blows up at me (well this took place while I was in the bathroom, but she was still going when I came back), saying things like, "I'm sick of decisions being made in here like I'm not in charge." And all I can say is, "WTF." Because it was such a minor thing and it was something I would assume she would have wanted done anyway, I have no idea why it was such a big fucking deal.

So now, while I thought I was doing an exceptional job and I've been doing everything right, there she goes, finding fault with it again. I promise you, Boss Lady, I have a mother already. I do not need another. Tonight is going to be a long night at work if I have to walk on fucking eggshells again.

Shit like this is why I'm so fucking glad that my manager actually takes the below into account and/or does the below:

1) Me snarking while tired and/or drunk
2) A colleague snarking while tired and/or drunk
3) The manager being the kind of person who has literally seen and heard it all no matter what you think of
4) Realises that we are a fucking charity and cuts the workers a break once in a while when they have had to deal with a VERY annoying client.
5) Brings cupcakes and Jaffa Cakes to the office every Friday because she is fucking awesome.
6) Someone actually suggesting a genuinely good idea.

Damnit. One of my friends just had a friend of his from college pass away. That just took me back to when I finished college and someone I knew from the hiking club died a year after he graduated. Hit by a drunk driver. He wasn't a close friend. But it crosses my mind every so often. And now that I've been reminded about it, I keep on thinking about how messed up it is for someone to lose their life so soon after graduating.

My phone was fully charged when I woke up.

It is now nearly dead. This is three hours time lapse. Granted, I have been on the phone (both calls and text) for the better part of two hours working on coverage for work, but Jesus. Phones die too quickly now.

Upper back/neck pain.

It's been three days now. I've been popping Advil and putting Icy Hot on for the past few days now, and I've been very careful about how I sleep. It's isolated to one area - left side of my back, near the shoulder blade. But it won't go away. I'm not understanding it, either. I have great posture at work and I have fairly good posture at home. I don't know what else to do anymore. I know I carry all of my tension in that part of the body and a massage would do me wonders, problem is, I just don't have anyone to perform such things at the moment and I sure as hell don't have the money.

Ugh.
