Been looking at that, honestly. I'm on the verge of leaving anyway. If it weren't for the fact that I have bills, I would have just quit already. Her bullshit isn't worth the aggravation anymore. I'm just trying to hold on until I find something else.

Vacation is in a week, too, so maybe that will help a little.

Returning to work after my bank holiday annual leave I booked and found that I'm locked out of the system because of my adventure over the weekend. It's so I can't access the girl I tried to help's medical records or find out if she's alive. Ummm HELLOO !!! She's on the floor below me on a unit I have access to and is part of my job to be there. ALl it has done is slow me down. Having to fill in forms manually, Seems like I'm being difficult but the forms don't exist since the trust are trying to eradicate paper.

I know it's in the best interest of the patient, They still don't know if she was pushed or jumped. I'm pretty sure she jumped or was trying to scare her bf and slipped. Mainly because she snapped the word Goodbye, I heard that before there was even an incident. 5 secs after that she landed right where I was looking.

I still can't belive she's alive still.

This time, it isn't a peeve related to me. Well, not exactly. I walked into work today a few minutes early as is customary, and I saw that we were one down. The minute I walked in, the girls told me that one of our people hadn't shown up and wasn't answering his phone.

Fuck.

So I text one of the others - who is scheduled at 2200 - and ask him to come in early, to help cover. I told them all that Boss Lady wasn't coming in, and you should have seen their faces fall.

Dude, I felt awful. I had no idea what to say, all I could do was sit down, pull up a radio and help out with everything that was going on. I had to deal with manager duties such as schedule issues, call offs, and general stupidity on top of taking a radio which really needed a dedicated operator, and all I could do was shake my head because one of her criticisms of me is that I'm (and I quote) "not there for my people," and when they needed her around, she wasn't.

Shitty day.

I've grown to really hate the customary "Goodbye" mass e-mails at work. Waste of bandwidth and screams, "LOOK AT ME I NEED ATTENTION!" And in 99% of cases, the person will be forgotten by the end of the week.

People begging for attention is seriously annoying.

And honestly, yeah. When I move on from an employer it's pretty much guaranteed that unless my coworkers and I regularly socialize outside of work I'm going to be forgotten by the end of the next week.

For real. They sent their "I'm quitting" email two weeks ago, and a bunch of people hopped on - and my workplace has this annoying need for everyone to reply all so I get a ton of e-mail traffic that has absolutely nothing to do with me. Then on their last day, they send the goodbye one. We get it, you're leaving, go already. Jesus.

I have responded to exactly two of those e-mails over a year and a half, and both times, I replied ONLY to the sender and not to the entire e-mail list, because anything I have to say to someone is not the company's business. I've kept in touch with one person who has left. Everyone else ... meh.

I got a random facebook message from a friend of a friend. It reads "Hey David, how's it going? How was your date with Tim?"

The fuck? Why does he even know we went on a date, and why does he give a shit how it went?

So I just respond that it was fun and that Tim is great, and he says "Yeah, Tim's friend Devin told me that you guys were going out. I'm really happy for you."

Man, what.

Here it is a requirement for many things so that work is not doubled. But it is not necessary for everything.

Also (and forgive misspellings I am on my phone at work), apparently one of our officers had an incident today, some bitch on one of our properties complained about two guys kissing. The officer did what was right - nothing. They were not in violation of any community rules so there was nothing he could do. I was glad to read that, but annoyed by it, too. Gay people bever bitch about straight people kissing ...

People suck.
