I was reading somewhere that in the uk it can cost £100k+ to look after a kid from ages 0-18

I love kids, I also love being a great big brother to my very young siblings and an awesome uncle to my neices nephews and friends children.
What I love more than that is handing them back to the parents once I've been the nice one filling them with sugar and knowing it's not me they are keeping awake

Those things are supposed to be meaningless blurbs, or at least something concise.

I was actually stupid enough to click some of those articles and they're basically as condescending, sexist and just plain wrong as you would expect from a blog of some middle class, white, daddy's rich girl who acts like a hippie because they ate wheat grass (so erm...basically wheat overpriced wheat...) once, practises homoeopathy, has way more money than sense and has never once been in the situation of anyone who is completely and utterly broke and at the point where even saving £1 ($1.56 for my American friends) makes a huge difference.

So basically it's just plain insulting to anyone who was apparently too selfish to be born to a rich family and just had to be born into a family that has never had much money, and that selfish they actually had the gall to actually be born at a time when they would be leaving university in the middle of a mass recession.

Thankfully I'll have forgotten all about that blog by the end of the week.
