The "W" key on my keyboard is sporadically not registering when struck. It's not a huge deal at the moment, but the next time I play a game that uses WASD it's going to drive me up the wall. This keyboard is only a few months old. It doesn't even have crumbs in it yet, it should not be developing these kinds of problems yet.

Oh well. It's not that expensive to replace it.

It sounds like your Keyboard is acting up like mine. The good news is it probably can be fixed by opening it up and fixing the plastic contact layers inside so they align properly again. Due to cheap materials/assembly and lack of proper support they tend to move and get out of place with use. If that's the problem with your keyboard as well that is.

The bad news is if that's the case you'll probably have to repeat the process from time to time because unless you make modifications to fix the layers properly into place they will keep moving. Or you can buy a new one, but in my case I've been unable to find a decent keyboard here in MX.

The last time I popped off the keys I ended up ruining the spacebar and having to replace the keyboard.

I love this model of keyboard, but we do not get along very well when I try to give it tender loving care.

I get back on Saturday and in less than 24 hrs people have bombarded me with questions about where I am living/places available to live, when I start my work in the research lab before school, various garage sales happening and inviting me to various things. It's nice to be loved, but hitting the ground running before your feet are ready again only results in road burn.

Somewhat old one, but people who insist that FFXI (and now XIV) "shouldn't have been a numbered title," simply because the people in question feel anathema to the concept of MMOs, or something silly like that.

Regardless of your feelings of the current state of FFXI in particular, I think we can all agree it has done more than enough to deserve that number.

I disagree. I think FFXI shouldn't have had a number. It offers a distinctly different experience from its offline brethren. That's not to say it's less of a game because of it, but that it is different from the rest and to number it brings with it a certain expectation that it fails to meet due to the very nature of the genre it inhabits.

At the risk of opening a can of cliches, Blizzard didn't name their MMO Warcraft 4 and there's a reason for that.

And IX is very different from X, which is different from V, which is different from "Final Fantasy" (the first entry). Don't even get me started on II.

Saying that XI and XIV don't deserve numbers simply on the basis of them being online games would be arguably even more ridiculous than if I were to say that VII, VIII, and XIII don't deserve their numberings because they are heavy sci-fi in a fantasy series.

Given they take over a decade to make anything new in a franchise, its almost long enough to forget there was a previous entry in a franchise anyway.

Did they really have to call it Diablo III? They chould have just called it Diablo again. Oh surprise, Diablo returns! Can't imagine why.
