So while using the train earlier, I saw a mother with a baby struggling to get onto the train (due to the gap between the platform and door) and nobody lifting a finger to help (instead they just stared at her like she was being inconsiderate or something). I stepped forwards to help her get the pushchair (stroller to any Americans reading this) onto the train and some arsehole not only barged in front of us but he also stepped over the pushchair/stroller, nearly kicking a baby in the face as he did so. Then nearly caused me to drop the stroller's front wheels into the gap between the platform and door as he attempted to barge past but failed miserably as there was no room for him to get past (mostly because I wouldn't let him by).

Really? Are you so desperate to get onto a train that stinks like a latrine because someone used the toilets at the station that you will not only barge past someone trying to help a stranger get their child onto the train safely but you will also attempt to kick the fucking child in the face to get past then try to make the people helping this child onto the train, drop the child onto the tracks because you just realised you're half the size of the guy you just pissed off?

It's not all negative though. When the woman I was helping got onto the train she gut punched the guy to the loud cheers of everyone watching (but couldn't be fucking bothered to raise a finger to help).

the funny thing about advice is that the shit that matters is the stuff that isn't even worth saying; people won't follow it until they learn it the hard way, and even then they'll still be inclined to ignore it next time.

the funny thing about advice is that the shit that matters is the stuff that isn't even worth saying; people won't follow it until they learn it the hard way, and even then they'll still be inclined to ignore it next time.

Which is why I told the dumb NIN in my ZM PT to tank the PLD in the center of the Antican fight. The Antican in the center was clearly wearing a bow and the PLD was to his left with a sword and shield. Everyone else knew I was lying, but they apparently wanted him to learn, too. I just wanted him to die and eat some EXP for wasting two hours of our evening waiting for him and watch us handle it capably while he ate floor.

Watching him take EES to the face while putting up shadows was fun.

Sometimes you have to just let people screw up. That's what I was getting at. Same idea.

Well, that and it's sometimes fun to watch it happen. Depends on the context. My context was i made a ninja believe a RNG was a PLD. PLDs aren't famous for archery.

I'm not here to give relationship advice, but I know a glutton for punishment when I see it. I see a person fueled by worry. The world eats those people alive, man. It's just not good to get oneself so wound up before confronting someone.

The NIN ran on stupid. Running on worry is worse. At least stupid has some confidence, however misplaced, and tends not to gossip. Stupid is bold like that.
