You know how they say that the best things in life are free? Well, that is one of the platitudes in this world that need to be struck down. With a stake. And buried in a shallow grave. Even trying to get a life costs money.

Hell, everything costs money. It costs money to just sit down, as you gott pay for the chair, or some one else, just like some one has to pay for the concrete if you sit on the ground or something. To live, it costs money, which is sad to say.

But Peeve: Unable to sleep while laying down for 8 hours straight, no lights (Windows covered by blinds, and black out shades.), no noises (For once in three years here.), and tired as hell, but not being able to sleep. I took some melatonin, and still a no go.

I guess the stress of trying to get a car, my liscence, training some one at work, trying to get out of this place, and get my life started is getting to be too much. I may have to go to the docs about my sleeping, and emotional issues.

So my friend wants me to come see a play he's working on. I got the info kind of last minute and scrambled together some plan to carpool up there with someone because I don't have a car and even if I did, fuck driving into Manhattan. Person I was going to carpool with has their car broke and in the shop and we've been playing phone tag on and off all day trying to figure what, if anything, we're going to do. At this point I'm really inclined to just say "fuck it" and throw in the towel and write the whole thing off as more trouble than it's worth. The invite was last minute, as was the breakdown of transportation and communications options. It doesn't help that there's a number of reasons why going to this thing is probably a bad idea.

Oh and did I mention that the play is tomorrow?

I need a day off from life.

Its always the big problem of being with someone who has kids with another women, jealousy etc come in high and the bloke does get stuck in the middle and its not fair on his current partner nor in some ways him, but he should be the man and stand up to his ex and not push you away, thats just giving in to make thigns easier for him, a sign of weakness.

This is an actual phone conversation I had from a DJ friend in Saturday who had a gig. I grew up with the guy so he's like having a little brother (even if I'm only a few days older than him) so I don't mind doing favours for him but sometimes I get phone calls like this:

*I pick up the phone*
Him [before I can say anything]: You doing anything tonight?
Me: Erm I'm probably meeting [friends names] tonight or playing Minecraft with them. Why what's up?
Him: I've got a gig tonight. Want to roadie for me and I'll pay you in drinks?
Me: You know I haven't got a car right?
*short pause*
Him: Yeah but you can use your dad's
Me: I'm not insured to drive his car. And if I'm drinking how will I drive your stuff back?
*short pause*
Him: Use my mum's then.
Me: Why would I ever be insured to drive your mum's car?
Him: My dad probably won't mind.
Me: I think he would if we were pulled over and got his wife's car towed...
*long pause*
Him: Doesn't you Dad know a guy you can hire a van from? I'll pay the deposit back next week.
Me: [Blatantly lying] Er...My license only covers bikes and cars and you need to call the rental place 2 days in advance.
*really long pause*
Him: Oh...*puts the phone down without saying anything.

What was more hilarious is that when I was out with the friends noted above later, it turned out that he had called all 6 of us. Apparently I was 4th choice going by the times we compared.

Leasious, right now we don't hate you because you actually have shit worth bitching about, and you're not bringing everything on the forum around to your own misery. Stay on that tack and you'll be fine. We all have our down times; I'm pretty sure even BBQ and I have cheered each other up at least once.

DIV is one big family. Nobody likes the emo kid, the only thing dad ever did right was marry mom (but oh man, I really wish you guys knew about Mrs. Taskmage, she is absolutely incredible), and other than that everyone has their ups and downs.

Except Armando who is always awesome.
