Coffee machine is broken...again.

I do not recommend Keurig coffee machines. They seem to only last about a year and then they develop all kinds of problems. We've already had to replace this one once before. Fancy coffee machines, you do not need such things.

I just got the Keurig Vue. I love it. I especially like being able to plant a pod and a cup in it before bed and set a timer. That way i wake up to a cup freshly made when I walk into the kitchen in the morning.

I know what you're saying though. My old one was the original base model and it started developing all kinds of problems after the first year. Thats why this time we took out the $12.00 lifetime warrenty. It guarentees us a new one if this one ever breaks or stops working for any reason.

There's a difference between cleaning bathrooms, and cleaning shit off the wall...

True, but it's a known risk. I mean, have you seen most gas station restrooms?

I can honestly say that no... no I have not seen a gas station bathroom. I refuse to ever see one. I've seen Train station bathrooms and they've made me think twice about using public restrooms of any kind. I'll give you 3 reasons:

1. Scabies
2. The Hep
3. Do you really have to go that bad? Do you? Do you really? Can't you just pee on a wall behind some building?

That's probably the way to go, but honestly I'd rather just have a standard coffee pot at this point. I don't like appliances that break down so easily. The maintenance is also a hassle. The smell of vinegar wafting through the office is not exactly the most charming aroma to have on a Monday.

The best part though? I'm pretty sure we still have two or three normal coffee makers squirreled away in storage, but we don't ever have coffee or filters to make use of them. It's just a very silly setup we have here.

No scrubbing shit off the walls for me today, although that is a thing that has happened in this house. Instead this morning my alarm didn't go off, so I got up 45 minutes late and in spite of frantic scrambling around my son missed the school bus, leaving him stranded at home with nobody to drive him. I go to lie back down just in time to hear shattering glass in the kitchen, run in to see what happened and take a nice shard in my bare foot. So now I've got that to clean up and for some freaking reason splatters of what appear to be cat blood all around our dining table. Some days I really miss living alone, with no pets or kids.

Ugh...

I just got handed a book and informed that there's some new microsoft certification test I need to pass. Oh and I'm expected to do the bulk of the preparation for it on my own time. You know, off the clock. During the time at home that they aren't paying me for. Well, they're saying that I'll get $500 if I do the prep work on my own time and that the main thing is to pass it, but really...get out of here with that. My time off from work is worth a hell of a lot more to me than a measly $500.

I don't need my work following me home like this, and definitely not on a Monday.

The main drain in my basement is apparently clogged. Any time we use a large amount of water, it overflows the sink in the basement that the Washing Machine drains into and spills out into the basement with all kinds of filthy gross water.
