I dunno, the weather question, while a bit dumb, seems pretty innocuous. What other kind of questions would you be answering? I don't know what you're providing customer service FOR, so I can't say if that question is or isn't in your purview.

I'm a golf pro. And the guy was staying 15 minutes from where I work. There wouldn't be a whole lot of weather variation.

Answering dumb questions like that is your job, though. Sure, ideally all of your customers would be self-aware people who don't need any help, but if that were the case, then you wouldn't be needed. So...
