Customer: I'm supposed to tee off in an hour, what's the weather like there?
What I said: Well, sir, its raining and windy here and the temperature is in the mid-40s. This weather is supposed to continue throughout the day and into tonight.
What I wanted to say: How fucking far away are you that the weather report is so different?
I dunno, the weather question, while a bit dumb, seems pretty innocuous. What other kind of questions would you be answering? I don't know what you're providing customer service FOR, so I can't say if that question is or isn't in your purview.
Answering dumb questions like that is your job, though. Sure, ideally all of your customers would be self-aware people who don't need any help, but if that were the case, then you wouldn't be needed. So...
